Q.What insurance do you participate with?
A.Blue Shield, Delta Dental, MetLife and Dr. Kevin participates with Guardian. Q.What if my insurance company is not on your list? A.We will file claims with any other dental insurance plan. Q.Do you accept Access or Gateway? A.No. Q.Are you accepting new patients? A.Yes, we always welcome new patients! Q.When should a child start visiting the dentist? A.When they start showing their first tooth, or by the age of 1 are usually sufficient. Q.Do you see many children? A.Yes, our staff is wonderful with children of all ages. Q.What do you accept for payment? A.We accept all major credit cards, except American Express. We accept personal checks, money orders and cash. We now also accept CareCredit. Q.Why would I need a crown on a tooth? A.The tooth is more “filling” material than tooth or it has a root canal or it is cracked. Q.Do white resin fillings last as long as silver alloy fillings? A.It depends on where in the mouth it is placed. However, it is more conservative to tooth structure. Q.Do you place “mercury” fillings? A.In certain circumstances we may recommend a traditional silver alloy filling, but it is usually not our first choice. Q. Is it normal for my gums to bleed when I floss? A.No, never. Bleeding is a sign of inflammation or infection. Q.Do you bill or make payment plans? A.Yes, for our established patients with large cases. We will work together in setting up a comfortable payment plan. Q.Will it hurt? A.It shouldn’t, we do everything that we can to make you as comfortable as possible.
